Working primarily with art, architecture and design (fashion, furniture & product), Clare Farrow Studio offers external curating, research, creative content and consultancy to Galleries, Museums, Collectors, Archives, Architects, Designers, Brands and Festivals. The Studio also works to match brands to projects and creative practitioners (architects, designers, artists) where there are shared values and interests, including sustainability, health & wellbeing, advanced technology, handcraft, longevity, and material experimentation.
Fees vary according to the degree of involvement by the Studio, from discussing concepts and writing profiles or case studies only, to object and artwork selection, research & development, curating. If required, the design, project management, installation, catalogue editing and production can also be handled by the Studio, working with a collection of established and trusted practitioners.
The Studio is skilled at connecting people and ideas, building teams, managing budgets, timelines and logistics, handling transportation, advising on educational opportunities, liaising with the press, and curating talks, films and performances.

How the Studio can work with you
Ideas & Consultancy: Looking at your work, or at a permanent or slowly changing collection or archive, the Studio can initiate and develop small displays or thematic exhibitions, developing these into clear project proposals, with budgets and timelines if required, to inspire and attract clients, press, or other specific audiences. People love stories.
Research & Development: If you have an idea, the Studio can research and further develop it into a detailed proposal presentation, budget and team plan, keeping in mind the space and budget, and sourcing partners if needed. Poetry is always balanced with pragmatism.
Interviews and Texts: For artists’ pages, catalogues, exhibitions, archives or creative content, the Studio is happy to work with clients to produce a rich diversity of material.
Shaping and Design: The Studio can handle all aspects of an exhibition, including the design process with trusted practitioners who have worked on the Studio’s own exhibitions (scenography and graphic design), or with the client’s in-house design team.
Selection, Sourcing and Logistics: Whether for an archival exhibition or a display to activate sales to the public, or an architectural practice wanting to exhibit its own archives and story, the Studio can handle many elements, including loan agreements, condition reports, transportation and image sourcing / permissions.
Narratives and Storytelling: Developing compelling stories, layers of meaning, images, videos or objects that will engage with the viewer, reader or press on many levels.
Education and Installation: The Studio follows an educational, inclusive model of working in which opportunities for young people are explored, and exhibitions become important vehicles for education, and hands-on experience.
Presentation, Press and Talk Events: Communication methods, press and talk events are explored together, to maximise the success and international reach of a project.
Written and Film Content: Both written and film content can be undertaken by the Studio on a regular basis, or as a one-off project.
Ongoing collaborations: Subscriptions for regular assistance can also be discussed, for longer term programmes and projects.
